Is Your Child Ready For Toilet Training?
->
Toilet training is a learning process – not a problem. Just like
learning to walk and talk your child must learn to use the toilet.
However, before your child can learn to use the toilet, you must learn the
signs of readiness.
There are many common signs of readiness you should watch for around
the ages of 18 months to 2 years.
These common signs are:
- Your child wakes up dry
- Your child is staying dry longer
- Your child is aware they are wet or having a bowel movement
- Your child can follow simple directions
- Your child shows interest in the toilet
- Your child can pull his own clothes on and off ( with a little help)
- Your child wants to be in control
These are just a few of the signs. As your child approaches the toilet
training stage in his life, you are going to sometimes think this is the
worst thing you have to ever go through. It doesn’t have to be the
worst thing. Prepare yourself and your child to start the toilet
training process.
