The studies have usually compared women who choose to breastfeed vs. those who choose formula which create additional questions, such as whether it is the breastmilk or other factors that are increasing the child’s IQ. Breastfeeding mothers may be more likely to avoid TV, read and spend quality time with their children for example. A new study adjusts for these factors and studied the IQ of children whose mothers went to clinics that either encouraged breastfeeding or did not. I can relate, and admit that I used to be the screaming parent. When I got to the point where I couldn’t stand myself for screaming at my kids anymore, I decided to get help. I looked online and found a great website http://www.loveandlogic.com . The website is fabulous. There are several books to buy that help parents/teachers get control again. I would suggest it to everyone.

I was so impressed that contacted Susanne Jaeggi and developed a software program using the same method so that anyone can achieve these improvements at home. (IQ Training Program) I've found the results to be quite remarkable. My ability to process information and solve problems took a big jump. I was able to complete the Saturday crossword puzzle in the NY Times, for instance, when I typically get stuck on the Thursday puzzle. Martin

There are some good ideas for relatively inexpensive crafts in here. Many parents seem to spend lots of money (unnecessarily, in my opinion) on expensive toys for their kids/toddlers when they could have just as much fun with much less expensive alternatives such as the ones mentioned in this article.

This article really hit home with me because I have felt myself getting to this point at time. I can remember once earlier this year being so angry with my daughter that I just needed to remove myself from the situation and go into my bedroom with the door closed. What she did was REALLY bad, but I know that I was at that extreme anger point as well.
